Average
Very average. The mower bogs down and sometimes stops if you are cutting thick grass or if it is slightly long. Batteries only last about 20 minutes each Don't buy unless you have a small yard, Mower is about a year old.

Super Quiet Mower Works Great
I bought this mower a week ago. So far so good. Very quiet and mows as good as my gas mower that I had. Easy to operate and the self propelled works great. The batteries charge in only an hour too. Now if it will only last as long as my Craftsman mower did, 20 years, then I’ll be extremely happy and give it 6 Stars!

Self propel lawnmower
I bought this product a year ago and it worked great until recently. When using the self propel the lawnmower shuts down completely. I tried contacting Ryobi today and I wasn’t able to speak to anyone. I sat on hold for over an hour and half and still couldn’t speak to anyone.

Great Mower
Bought this on 8/30 and used it right away. Very quiet, good power, cut the lawn much better than the old gas powered mower.

Easy to operate
I like it so far. However, I wish I had known before my purchase that the mower sells for $150 LESS on the product's website. I am not returning it because the Labor Day special and my military discount reduced the price even more.

Blade will not engage, Owned mower 5 Months
We bought this mower (RY401140) in March of this year. Lights come on, Drive wheels engage but blade will not spin. It ran well the 1st few times. Than it became touchy to start. Today it just stopped after going 20 feet and won't start back up.
Went through the list of things to check still nothing.

Ecstatic After First Mow!
I Bought a RYOBI 40V HP BRUSHLESS 21" SELF-PROPELLED WALK BEHIND LAWN MOWER, 08/27/2023 Works Great,Very Happy So Far! Unboxing was simple, with no assembly required!
Light Weight, with easy Manuvering of mower! First Mow I was so very happy! Couldn't Beleive the experiance I Just Had! Was reluctant to purchase an Electric Lawn Mower!
I had a high dollar $$$$.$$ Red Commercial Self Propelled Gas Mower. Didn't run right from day one! Dealer was unworthy of my business & I bought local to support my community! for the last month It didn't start most of the time! I tried to fix it myself but with age the parts bent trying to get them off the mower! I left it for dead!
So went shopping online & Have Home Depot Card! It was delivered to my Home! Very Happy with my new 40V HP BRUSHLESS 21" SELF-PROPELLED LAAWN MOWER!

Problems with self propelling
I have had this mower for about a year. First the height adjustment came apart, easy fix. Next the self propelled became very intermittent and caused the mower to shutdown causing battery to flash red on middle 2 bars. The mower will not restart without changing batteries. I’m disabled and have trouble pushing mower without the self propelled function

A great mower l, have one I bought a few years ago and it had worked well. Needed to buy batteries and decided to buy the new mower since it came with two batteries.

Mower is good not great
Mower cuts the yard very well on one battery. Mower came with the battery cover cracked in the box. The adjustable speed self-propelled switch is too loose and moves while I'm mowing. The fold away storage future is very nice.
