Convenient, but under powered
Convenient, but under powered. Not having to be tethered to an electrical cord was good. There was enough time with the 4ah battery to trim five large holly shrubs. The primary negative was the trimmer had a tough time cutting through the holly branches. It made the process slower than with my electric trimmer.

Great trimmer with some reach.
I recently bought this to help trim the plants and bushes around my house and at my parent’s place since we both have the 40V brushless power head. Trimming the bushes with this hedge trimmer was like running a warm knife through butter. I was able to do both places and still have battery life left (and no pain in my back.). I did use my Ryobi pole saw extension to help me get the Wisteria on top of their gazebo, which definitely helped!

Happy hedge trimmer

This is a good addition
I purchased the Expand-It option with the string trimmer and it worked great. Then I decided to give this hedge trimmer attachment a try. I was a little skeptical at first thinking the weight and the length were too much but It has worked out great! It is well balanced and the blades cut very well. I am pleased with this purchase and I plan on purchasing additional attachments in the near future. My next addition will be the edger.

Great Product!
I had some basic B&D corded hedge trimmers, but the problem with them is: THE CORD! Since I had the Ryobi 40V power head, I decided to get this trimmer attachment.
IT WORKS GREAT!!!! I have a trumpet vine that is going crazy, and this trimmer on the power head gives me enough reach to cut those high canes.

Makes easy work out of those thick bushes, if your bush is out of control and you wife is complaining, this product is for you, i now trim my bush every weekend. Powerful and reliable.
