Rated 4 out of 5 by Joe 8289 from Blade OK Bought the 21" mower at the beginning of the season, so far so good. I have ben mowing twice a week, blade needs sharpening every three weeks. Wife said I'm OCD about keeping the blade sharp. Grass and twigs ar the only thing the blade has touched. I hope to get many more sessions out of this the original blade

Rated 1 out of 5 by 12bbq from Horrible quality I still am using my 24 year old Toro mower with original blade. I sharpen regularly. My Ryobi is less than a year and blade is shot. It seems to be made out of tin foil. Please offer a durable blade!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mr Dex from Mower Blades I understand that Ryobi mower blades have to be made light. And in doing so, it makes the blades very easy to dull and ding up. But there has to be a better way to make these blades. My suggestion is to put a thin steel strip as the cutting portion of the blade. Or make a steel blade with many holes punched in it to reduce the weight. Something needs to be done.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Better than Craftsman but... Ok, mower blades have gone cheep industry wide in recent years because people treat them as disposable instead of keeping them sharp and being careful so I can't criticize Ryobi for following the trend. However I can't help but wish for a sturdier option for mower blades since this is a proprietary product and I can't just replaced it with a Snapper blade, for example, which are made nice and heavy out of high grade steel and will last for years. It's frustrating that a single pebble just a quarter-inch in diameter can totally obliterate the edge on my $25 mower blade beyond all remedy. I'd be willing to pay more for a better blade Ryobi.
