Better than gas!!
I love the Ryobi products. Instead of the rip and grip gas weed wacker. This one allows you to plug and play. Highly recommend.

Will do the job
Replaced older Black and Decker battery weed wacker. I feel a big upgrade. More powerful makes me feel more confident in my work but also requires you to pay attention. Load line, rotate for edging, and charging battery are all easy. Ryobi does it again. Would have given 5 star but battery is not a HP model.

LIGHTER THAN GAS POWERED TRIMMER
After the first use, I'm not impressed. Seems underpowered and slow response after depressing the start. Battery longevity seems lacking also. Spent around 30 minutes trimming around driveway and flower bed and even though the batter shows 1/2 :"full" I'd swear the delay was worse when depressing the start. Spent a lot of time fixing the string. Not impressed with how it feeds. I wanted something lighter than the gas powered trimmer but I lost so much, I'll probably just go back to using it.

Third trimmer; 1st two failed within a month
My first Ryobi string trimmer lasted years and was one of the best yard tools I've used. Imagine my surprise when this trimmer (Model 20120) became the THIRD Ryobi string trimmer that I've purchased in the last FOUR months, so I'm proceeding with guarded optimism. I thought it was weird that there was only one hole for the string to feed thru but so far hasn't interfered with its reliability/operation ; battery holds decent charge and I can complete a 4,000 sq ft yard with one charge. See my reviews for the previous two purchased and returned trimmers (P20110 and P20190); both of which were amazing POSs.

Battery does not last long .
The trimmer functions well but it burns through batteries so fast. You cannot finish a yard with one battery, which is disappointing considering how expensive the batteries are.

Light and heavy duty
I bought the edge trimmer about a month ago to replace my gas model that finally bit the dust after six years. I was leery at first gong to a battery operated but i was surprised how well it did. L live on an acre and a half, and it definitely did the job. Heavy cutting or lite cutting it cut with ease.

Great features
I bought this to replace a gas trimmer that pooped out on me. It is very convenient not having to worry about fuel mixing.

Worth your money
I got this about a month ago and really like it because of the ease to start and the weight of it. I am not having to worry about gas and oil or pulling a string. Great for bad backs and shoulders.

It be okay
It’s okay I’ve seen better but not bad
. It would be better if it had more power and dual strings.
