Powerful!
This trimmer is awesome! Great for my small yard but powerful enough to tackle my mom's huge, weedy yard. Love how easy it is to load new string.

So glad I ditched the gas trimmer
I'm thrilled with how well this thing works. I don't use it as a string trimmer but I use several attachments ( edger, cultivator, bush cutter, leaf blower) and this thing handles all of it with no problem. I had been using a gas-powered string trimmer prior and this corded one is so much easier. No more yanking on the start-up cord, fumes, or keeping gas around around.
I added a shoulder strap that clips onto the D-ring. Makes the tool easier to use longer.

Really like this trimmer
I had been fighting my old gas-powered RYOBI trimmer and wanted to keep using my attachments. I purchased this trimmer, and I am really happy with it. I also purchased a 100 ft 14/3 extension cord because that would allow me to reach all the areas I needed to trim. Some people complained that the trimmer is heavy, but I disagree it is lighter, quieter and not as hot as the gas one I was using. It does have plenty of power and worked great with the string trimmer and my tiller and brush cutting attachments. As some people state in reviews, the string trimmer will kick debris up, but only if you use the left side of the trimmer head. I you trim using the right side the trimmer head, the it does not spray debris into your face. Either way eye protection would be recommended.

Great trimmer
A good solid feel to it. A little heavy at first, but you get used to that quickly.
All the power you need and more.
My first Ryobi trimmer lasted 15 years, the second lasted 12.
Even though I had to order this one, it was worth the wait.

Best electric trimmer available
hello. i purchased two of these units - one for our church and one for myself. i needed something simple to operate and inexpensive. this unit requires no fuel mixing (easy for the uninformed to get wrong) and i don't have to buy expensive lithium batteries. it has a straight shaft (more durable) and is simple to load with line. it was just about the only unit available that met those criteria. i have other Ryobi tools and they perform well, are durable, and give me no problems.

Does the Job
I haven’t owned any other corded string trimmers, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it does the job. It’s a little longer/heavier than I expected, so took some getting used to.

Switched from gas to this corded electric trimmer.

It works with all my other attachments (cultivator, leaf blower, edger)
& unlike my gas trimmer this thing will rip through ANYTHING with my attachments and doesn't stall out
